It’s been awhile since I wrote a book review. But this is a great book and I would highly recommend it.
Becoming Elisabeth Elliot by Ellen Vaughn – just published in September.
Like me, you are probably thinking, “I’ve read a lot of books about the Elliots – what else is there to know?”
A lot. Taken from her journals, you read about Elisabeth’s life from the time she was a little girl and then through her Wheaton days (and the boy she had a crush on, but later didn’t remember though several pages of her journal said how much she liked him.)
Probably the most interesting part was after Jim’s death when she went back to the tribe along with Rachel Saint. The two ladies did not get along … at all.
The author’s detailed writing makes me anxious to read Volume 2.
I guarantee this is different from any book you’ve read about the Elliots.
(I listened on audio and the narrator was easy to listen to.)
