
Thankfulness should be a part of our lives every day, but November is an entire month of thankfulness celebration.
To get the month off to a great start – here are a dozen verses about thanksgiving. Wednesday’s post will be a list of activities to do with your kids – that focus on gratitude. A verse or two from this list can be incorporated into some of the suggestions.
1 Chronicles 16:34 – Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!
Psalm 7:17 — I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, Most High.
Psalm 9:1 — I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of Your wonderful deeds.
Psalm 28:7 — The Lord is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.
Psalm 69:30 — I will praise the name of God with a song; I will magnify Him with thanksgiving.
1 Corinthians 11:24 — And when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, “This is My body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.
1 Corinthians 15:57 — But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 9:15 — Thanks be to God for His inexpressible gift!
Ephesians 5:20 — Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Philippians 4:6 — Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Colossians 2:7 — Rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 — Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
