We all have them — those moments we’re feeling very uncourageous. And our kids (whether personal or ministry) experience those moments too … when they have a big test or a big competition; when a favorite uncle gets sick; when dad and mom are talking divorce, when they’re being mercifully teased by classmates, when they don’t make the team …

We need God’s Word as a reminder and we also need to equip our kids with reminders.

So here goes …

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)

Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord! (Psalm 31;24)

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never permit the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:22)

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:20)

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in Me. (John 14:1)

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Casting all your anxieties on him, because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

Be courageous – the Lord is with you.
