I know many want to monetarily contribute to relief efforts after a disaster like the recent fires. Yet, sometimes we aren’t sure where to give because we hear stories of scams or little money actually going to relief efforts.
Since the California fires I have been checking for a place to recommend.
Here it is – Calvary Community Church is in Westlake Village, California. The church has been involved both in helping those affected by the shootings last week and also with fire relief. Many in their congregation have experienced loss and they are also helping the community around them.
I know the pastor and have also worked with other members of their church on a writing project, and absolutely trust them.
They have their giving set up so it’s easy for someone to give on a onetime basis. Just click on the link and follow the instructions.
